The activities below can be talked about or completed after the book:  Listening to my Body.  This is a daily activity that can been done to talk about feelings and sensations.

The emotions chart can be used daily to check-in about how your child is feeling.  You can make an emotions pie or heart by having your child pick 3 or more emotions they recently had.  Start by drawing a large heart or circle. Have your child pick their emotions.  Next have them pick a different color for each emotion.  Then they complete the pie or heart by coloring in how strong the emotion was.

Ex. If a child picked excited and used the color yellow to go with the emotion and if they felt excited most of the time most of the circle or heart  would be colored yellow.  Then they continue with all the colors and how color how strong the emotions were.

See example to the right.  You can then talk about all the emotions and how they are all ok.  Also talk about ways to handle or cope with emotions.
